Six of a family injured in gas leakage blast in Charsadda

CHARSADDA: Six members of a family were injured in an explosion caused by gas leakage in Halimabad village in Utmanzai area early Monday, local sources said.
They said the family members of Qari Muhammad Ali were asleep when gas accumulated in a room of the house following its supply was restored after loadshedding at night. All of a sudden an explosion occurred when a family member tried to light the heater.
Six members identified as Qari Muhammad Ali, his wife, daughter, son and two nieces sustained burn injuries. The injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Charsadda wherefrom some of them were referred to a hospital in Peshawar.
