Crackdown against substandard CNG kits launched in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The district administration has launched a crackdown against the CNG-run vehicle without fitness certificates. The administration launched the drive after the CNG cylinder blast in a vehicle on Charsadda Road.
The administration constituted five teams to check all vehicles plying roads in Peshawar. The teams issued tickets to drivers for lacking fitness certificates. The administration said the government would not allow transporters to play with the lives of passengers and they had been warned against using unauthorised CNG cylinders and kits.
The transporters have been asked to get their gas cylinders checked and certified by the relevant departments otherwise stern action would be taken against them.
Meanwhile, the administration also continued to drive against encroachments in the district as action against illegal structures on the Nasir Bagh Road was taken on Friday.
The administration said that action would continue till complete removal of illegal structures from public properties, including roads and footpaths.
