Hasheesh wins U18 title at Indus Pharma National Tennis
KARACHI: Hasheesh Kumar won the under-18 singles title at the 7th Indus Pharma National Tennis Championship at Modern Club here on Friday.
Hasheesh beat Mahatir 7-6, 6-3 to claim the title.
In the final of under-16 singles, Mahatir defeated Taha Aman 6-2, 7-5. Meanwhile, Nadir thrashed Haider Rizwan 4-2, 4-1 to win the under-14 event. In the under-12 singles final, Nadir Mirza smashed Hasnain 4-1, 4-0.
In the final of men’s doubles, the pair of Hasheesh and Minhas overpowered the duo of Aqeel and Murad 5-7, 6-3, 10-7, while the under-18 doubles final was won by the pair of Noor and Mahatir, who thrashed Hasheesh and Rayan 6-1, 6-1. In the final of under-14 doubles, the team of Haider and Kashan won against the duo of Ibrahim and Zain 4-2, 3-5, 10-7.
The pair of M Iltifat and Javed Iqbal claimed the 45 plus doubles category title.
