Eight held for thrashing youth in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The police on Thursday arrested eight accused, who were allegedly involved in beating and stripping a youth naked here, police said. They said that a youth, Ahmad Nadeem, was watching a match in the ground of the Islamia Higher Secondary School when a group of 15-20 people arrived there, beat him up and paraded him naked in the ground. Following the directives by the district police officer, the police raided various hideouts in the district and arrested eight accused. Some of them were identified as Shahid, Khurram, Ghori, Zeeshan and Ibrar. The police launched an investigation after registering the case. The motive behind the incident was stated to be a family dispute.
