LAHORE: PML-Q senior leader Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said all four members of the ECP have lost trust and elections will not be transparent if they don’t resign, adding his party will not take part in the by-elections and the other parties should also boycott the elections. According to a press release issued on Sunday, Pervaiz Elahi said all parties were demanding that the members of the Election Commission of Pakistan should resign for free and fair election. Responding to a question regarding the by-elections, the PML-Q leader said: “Our party’s unanimous decision is that in the presence of sitting members election will not be transparent and for this reason our party is not contesting the elections and all other parties should also deliberate on the issue because those who had done rigging in 2013 general elections will not hold free and fair elections.”
