Pindi Board clinch table tennis title
ISLAMABAD: BISE Lahore and FBISE Islamabad reached final of the hockey event being played in connection with the All Pakistan Girls Inter-Board Sports Gala at the Bunda Hockey Ground here Wednesday.
BISE Lahore thumped BISE Gujranwala 7-0 while FBISE Islamabad got the better of BISE Faisalabad 3-0 in the second semi-final.
BISE Rawalpindi defeated BISE Lahore 2-0 in the final of table tennis event. In the first semi-final, BISE Lahore defeated BISE Sahiwal 2-0 while in the second BISE Rawalpindi edged BISE Peshawar with the same margin. BISE Peshawar defeated Sahiwal 2-0 to take third position. In athletics, Sahibal Sabi earned top position in the 800 meters. Sanam Ali from BISE Lahore finished second.
In long jump, Sunaina from BISE Lahore clinched top spot while Amtul Rehman (BISE Lahore) got second position and Sunina Musharraf stood third.
Aisha from BISE Sargodha grabbed first position in shot put while Khadeeja Mehreen (BISE Lahore) and Esha (BISE Rawalpindi) clinched second and third positions, respectively.
In badminton event, BISE Karachi and FBISE Islamabad will lock horns in the final. In the first semi-final, Islamabad defeated Faisalabad 2-0 while in the second Karachi beat Abbottabad 2-0. The final will be played today (Thursday).
