IGP Punjab orders security alert after Quetta blast

LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab Shoaib Dastgir directed the officials concerned to tighten security across the province after Quetta blast. The IG directed all RPOs and DPOs to increase the security of sensitive installations, worship places, hospitals, and parks.
He directed them to tighten security at inter-provincial and inter-district check-posts and increase the patrolling hours of patrolling forces of Dolphin, PRU etc to increase the search sweep and combing operations across all districts of the province.
