House torched in Charsadda
CHARSADDA: An armed group on Sunday torched the house of their rival at Mamakhel village in the limits of Prang Police Station.
Addressing a press conference here at the Charsadda Press Club, Shahzad Ahmed, Samina Bibi, Nazia Bibi, Shehnaz Bibi and Amin Taja Bibi said that their rivals killed their brother, Naveed, on Saturday and next day they torched their house where the copies of the Holy Quran were also burnt. They alleged that they went to the police station to get registered a first information report (FIR) against the rival group but the police refused to do so. They expressed surprise over the police silence for taking no action against the rivals, nor arresting them as they were affiliated with a political party. They called upon Prime Minister Imran Khan to look into the matter and direct the police to fulfil the legal formalities in the case.
It may be added that two groups exchanged harsh words in Mamakhel village on Saturday and opened fire on each other in which Muzaffar Khan was killed and Ayaz was injured while Naveed was killed from the rival group. The next day (Sunday) the rival group came to the house of slain Naveed and set it on fire.
