Woman burnt to death in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: A married woman of Gulzar Colony was burnt to death during her sleep on Saturday.
Razia Bibi was sleeping in a room when her bad caught fire and she died on the spot. Her son Ashfaq Ahmad also received critical burns. He was shifted to Burn Unit of the Allied Hospital.
BRIDEGROOM, FATHER BOOKED OVER FIRING: Madina Town police Saturday registered a case against a bridegroom, his father and others on charges of firing into air during the wedding ceremony. Muhammad Umer, his father, and other guests resorted to aerial firing during his wedding ceremony. The police took action when the firing video went viral on social media.
3 BODIES RECOVERED: Bodies of three unidentified people were recovered from various localities of Faisalabad city on Saturday.
The bodies were spotted in Gatwala Canal, Peoples Colony and Satiana Road. The police dispatched the bodies to Allied Hospital.
OBITUARY: The mother of Mehr Shafqat Ullah Mushtaq, Anti-Corruption Establishment regional director Sahiwal and Prof Mehr Abdul Qadir Mushtaq of University of Agriculture Faisalabad passed away here on Saturday after a protracted illness.
She was laid to rest at their ancestral graveyard, People of all walks of life attended her funeral.
