OKARA: PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi Friday said although the PTI does not acquiesce with the Judicial Commission (JC) report, however, the 40 points of the party had been acknowledged by the JC.
Addressing the workers convention on the GT road, Qureshi said the Election Tribunals (ET) have vindicated the PTI stand regarding rigging in the general elections.
He said since long Punjab was being ruled by the PML-N and farmers of the province were in severe troubles owing to policies of the rulers.
He said the PPP has become a party of the past and the PTI would replace the PML-N, accusing the PML-N and the PPP leaders of looting the nation’s resources and sending the wealth to their foreign coffers.
He said the PTI stands for the overseas Pakistanis’ foreign exchange.
He urged the party workers to renew such zest and zeal in them which was present in the Muslims of the Sub-Continent during the Pakistan Movement.
Earlier, the PTI district coordinator Chaudhry Azhar Mehmood welcomed Qureshi.
Former minister Syed Samsam Ali Bokhari, PTI ticket-holder Rao Khalid Mustafa, Rao Hassan Siknadar, Chaudhry Tariq Irshad Khan, former MNA Rai Muhammad Aslam Kharal, former MPA Malik Akram Bhatti, former provincial minister Muhammad Ashraf Khan Sohna, MPA Masud Shafqat Rubera, Mehmoodur Rehman Lashari advocate and others were also present.
Some 24 former members zila council, nazims union councils including Afzal Wattoo, Nasir Baloch, Rao Humayun Mustafa, Rana Khalid Joiya, Rai Shaukat Ali, Rai Asghar Ali, Raja Muhammad Sarwar, Rao Tehsin Ali Khan, Pir Nasimud Din, Syed Hasnain Shah Gilani and other showed their allegiance to the PTI at the hand of Qureshi.
