Man held for supplying drugs to students in Mardan

MARDAN: The police arrested an alleged smuggler who used to supply drugs and ecstasy pills to educational institutions, a senior police officer said on Friday.
District Police Officer Sajjad Khan said the accused Ahmad Jan, an Afghan national, was arrested and over three kilograms of hashish and around 100 grams ecstasy pills were recovered from him.
“The cops of the Sheikh Maltoon Town Police Station arrested Ahmed Jan, who is an Afghan national but currently residing in Mirpur area of Abbottabad district. He has confessed to selling ecstasy pills and hashish to students at educational institutions of different districts of the province through social network and contacts,” he added. The officer said that investigation in the case was still underway to bust the entire network involved in the practice.
