Pervez clinches 70-plus singles tennis title
KARACHI: Pervez Bajwa clinched the 70-plus singles title at the 34th Maple Leap Cement Pakistan ITF Seniors World Ranking Tennis Championship in Lahore on Thursday.
Pervez overpowered Najam Naveed 3-6, 6-4, 4-6 in the final. In the final of 35 plus doubles, the pair of Talha Waheed and Usama Waheed beat the duo of Adeel Ahmed and Mehboob Waheed 6-3, 6-3.
In the final of 40 plus doubles, the pair of M Shakeel and Talha Waheed won against the duo of Ashar Ali and Fayaz Khan 7-6(5), 7-5. In the final of 45 plus doubles, the pair of Fayaz Khan and Rashid Malik defeated the duo of Ashar Ali and M Shakeel 6-2, 7-5.
In the final of 65 plus doubles, the pair of Zahid Rai and Iftikhar Rao overpowered the duo of Khurrum Khwaja and Asad Niaz 2-6, 7-5, 10-3.
