Two dead as three-storey building collapses in Sukkur

SUKKUR: Two people died and several were left injured Thursday after a three-storey building collapsed near the city's Hussaini road. According to rescue officials, relief operations were being carried out with the help of locals. Four people who were buried under the rubble had been rescued. Darkness proved to be a hindrance in relief efforts, as per rescue officials.The collapse caused a power outage as a result of damage to a 11KV electric wire that was providing electricity to the area. According to locals, around three families resided in the collapsed building. Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and ordered the injured to be provided medical aid immediately.
