Hidden forces trying to destabilize country: Qureshi
MULTAN: Security measures were beefed up on the second day of the 706th Urs of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam and the caretaker of the shrine, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, offered special prayers on Thursday. Addressing a conference, he said there are some hidden forces hatching conspiracies to destabilize the country. Criticizing India, he said eleven states have refused implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act. Many Indian states are revolting against the anti-Muslim bill and India is passing through the most critical juncture. He prayed to God to destroy forces subjecting innocent and oppressed Kashmiris to target-killings. He said Indian forces are not allowing Kashmiris to perform Friday prayers in mosques. Indian forces are killing freedom of religion in Kashmir. It exposed India’s so-called democracy and secularism. Indian forces targeted 210 innocent Pakistani civilians at the Line of Control in 2019, he said and added India is crushing all religious minorities including Christians, Parsis, Buddhists and particularly Muslims. India is hatching a conspiracy to promote violence in Pakistan, but the world has kept mum on gross human rights violations.
