Remembering Benazir
December 28, 2019
December 27, 2019 marks the 12th anniversary of the death of ex-prime minister Benazir Bhutto. The legendary leader had a vision to take the country forward towards prosperity and progress. She was educated, well-versed, articulate and possessed all the qualities of an excellent leader. Her murder remains a mystery.
It is worth mentioning here that political parties in Pakistan are personality based and the sudden death of a leader effectively orphans the party. The second line leadership of the PPP lacks the acumen to preserve support and build political momentum, depriving the party of good leadership. We miss the charismatic, debonair and impressive Benazir Bhutto.
