LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi has directed the department concerned to complete new building of the Punjab Assembly before the deadline.
He issued the direction while chairing a meeting on the construction of the new building at the Assembly Chambers here on Thursday.
He said the completion of the building is already delayed and further delay would increase cost of the construction and add burden to national exchequer. The speaker said progress report should be submitted to Secretary Muhammad Khan after every 15 days. He directed that under-construction mosque and hostel in the new building be completed early. The meeting was attended by Punjab Assembly Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti and other high officials concerned.
