3 of a family die in accident

GUJRANWALA: Three members of a family were killed in a road accident on Hafizabad Road on Wednesday.
Javed Masih, his son Rahber (6) and daughter Meerab (4) were on their way home when a speeding truck hit their motorcycle. As a result, Javed Masih and Meerab died on the spot while Rahber sustained serious injuries and rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

Dacoits continue looting spree

GUJRANWALA: Dacoits looted cash, gold ornaments, mobile phones and other valuables in 18 incidents here on Wednesday.
Four dacoits entered the house of Musa at Alipur Chatha and made off with Rs 55,000, gold ornaments and two mobile phones. Three dacoits intercepted Shafique and his wife and snatched Rs 10,000 and gold ornaments in the limits of Sadar Wazirabad police. Two dacoits deprived Shoaib of Rs 32,000 and a mobile while two bandits took away a motorcycle of Safdar. Two dacoits snatched Rs 25,000 and a mobile phone from Naveed while three dacoits looted Rs 16,000 and a mobile phone from Imran. Two armed dacoits intercepted Moazzam and his wife at Ahmed Nagar Chatha and snatched Rs 25,000 and gold ornaments while two dacoits looted cash, gold ornaments and two mobile phones from Mohsin. Two dacoits snatched Rs 36,000 and two mobile phones from Hamid at Emenabad. Four armed persons snatched Rs 15,000 and a mobile phone from Muneer at Cantt while the bandits looted Rs 12,000 and a mobile phone from Ahsan at Aroop. Fayyaz was deprived of Rs 18,000 and a mobile on Bajwa Road. Two dacoits snatched a motorcycle from Irfan near the Civil Hospital. Unknown thieves took away a motorcycle of Saqib from Dhulley, applied for motorcycle of Waheed from Model Town area and took away a motorcycle of Liaqat from Ferozewala. The bike of Qasim was stolen from Thana Wala Bazaar while a motorcycle of Hasnain was stolen from the Fruit Market.
