BAHAWALPUR: A murder convict was executed in the New Central Jail here on Wednesday morning.
Tajamul Abbas of Chak 386/WB, Tehsil Dunyapur, had murdered three minor sisters after sexual assault in the limits of the Jalla Arain police in 2004. After hearing the case, the Lodhran district and sessions judge had awarded him death sentence on three counts. His all appeals were rejected and his black warrants were issued by the Lodhran district and sessions judge for Aug 26, 2015.

Boy tortured to death by fake Pir

BAHAWALPUR: A six-year-old boy was tortured to death by a fake Pir at Sadiq Akbar Town, Khanpur, on Tuesday night.
Accused fake Pir Hafiz Akbar of the same locality allegedly abducted Ahmad on Tuesday morning and allegedly tortured him to death to increase his mysterious powers. On suspicion, Khanpur City police arrested the fake Pir. During interrogation, Hafiz Akbar revealed that he killed the boy to increase his mysterious powers. The police have registered a case.
