National tennis championship from Jan 4
KARACHI: Karachi Tennis Association (KTA) is organising 7th Indus Pharma National Tennis Championships from January 4-10.
Indus Pharma is the title sponsor of this weeklong prestigious championship for seniors and juniors that is to be held at Modern Club here.
The national events to be contested in singles and doubles categories are for the categories of juniors 18, girls 18, boys 16 and 14, boys and girls 12 and 10.
The doubles events for seniors are for the categories of 45 plus and 55 plus. Some local Sindh ranking events in singles and doubles categories for men’s and ladies will also be played.
The championship will also have singles event for wheelchair category and Soft Tennis singles events for men and ladies.
SVP Sindh Tennis Association Khalid Rehmani said it was mandatory to have Pakistan Players Identification Number (PPIN) to take part in any national ranking tournament. “Those who do not have PPIN must bring two passport size photos and ID card/B form copy for registration,” he added. The last date for entry is January 2.
