Six killed in Faisalabad accidents
FAISALABAD: Six people, including a minor boy, died in separate road accidents here on Monday. Abu Bakar, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Muzammal, Muhammad Salman and Smith Masih, all of Gulberg Colony, were moving in a car. The car overturned and plunged into a ditch owing to fast speed on Canal Road. As a result, Abu Bakar and Muhammad Ali died on the spot and three others sustained critical injuries. The injured were rushed to a hospital. Liaquat Ali, his wife Neelum and minor son Aftab Ahmed were moving on a motorcycle when a bus hit them near Mananwala, leaving Liaquat and his son dead on the spot and his wife injured critically. She was removed to a hospital. A boy died when a van hit his motorcycle on Samundri Road. Youth Afzal Ahmad died in a road accident on Sheikhupura Road.
Tree plantation drive from Jan 15: On the directives of Director Public Instructions Punjab, the education department Faisalabad has decided to launch a tree plantation drive 2020. The tree plantation drive will be launched at all government schools and offices of education department from January 15. According to official source, Chief Executive Office Education has been directed to contact with forest department for arrangement of sapling.
Kites manufacturer arrested: Police Monday arrested a kite manufacturer and seized over 10,000 kites from his godown located near Hajvery Town. According to police, Sargodha Road police arrested the kite manufacturer with kites and booked him.
