Ibrahim Nouman wins under-15 tennis title

KARACHI: Ibrahim Nouman clinched the under-15 title of the 60th SSB Development Series Tennis Championship at Union Club here on Monday.
Ibrahim beat Ibrahim Qureshi 7-8, 6-3 in the final to claim the title. M Ali defeated Shoaib Abbas 6-4, 6-1 in the second round of men’s singles. In the round-robin match of under-17 singles, Raheel thrashed Ashar 6-0, 6-1. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Nouman defeated Ibrahim Qureshi 5-3, 4-1 and Samer Zaman overpowered Ahsan Ahmed 4-2, 4-5, 4-2 in the second round of under-13 singles.
In the second round of under-9 singles, Zayd Zaman beat Hassan Farhan 4-1, 5-3. The pair of Aqeel Shabbir and Murad Khan beat the duo of Kanit and Ameer Hamza 8-2 in the round-robin match of men’s doubles.
