3 alleged killers of man held in Charsadda
CHARSADDA: The police arrested three accused in the murder case of a man in the jurisdiction of Sardheri Police Station, police said on Tuesday.
They said three accused, including a woman identified as Sajjad Ali, Amjad Ali and wife of Hanif, allegedly opened fire on Asad Ali in the Parang Yasinzai village, leaving him dead on the spot.
The relatives of the slain person placed the body on the road in Sardheri Chowk and blocked it for an hour and chanted slogans against the government and police. Deputy Superintendent of Police Adnan Azam held talks with the protesters who opened the road after being assured about the early arrest of the accused.
District Police Officer Irfanullah Khan and Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Syed Iftikhar Shah directed the police to arrest the fleeing accused at the earliest. After conducting massive raids, the police arrested the accused.
An official said that the raids were still on to arrest other persons who have been nominated in the first information report.
