Minister reviews progress of uplift schemes in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: A high-level meeting on Monday reviewed the ongoing and new schemes for the Peshawar district.
Minister for Communications and Works Akbar Ayub Khan presided over the meeting to assess the progress of different schemes and other issues of the Peshawar district. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Deputy Speaker Mehmood Jan Khan, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Science and Information Technology Kamran Khan Bangash, MPAs of Peshawar district and C&W officers were present on the occasion. The minister said all the MPAs should look after the developmental schemes, ensuring quality and timely completion of the work, said an official handout.
He added that issues of fund release and approval would be taken up with the chief minister. Kamran Khan Bangash highlighted the schools, roads and other issues of his constituency. The minister issued orders for the timely completion of the schemes. The officers told the participant that the construction work was in progress on all existing schemes. Akbar Ayub ordered that all the schemes may be completed before June of the coming year.
