Constable shot dead in Mianwali
SARGODHA: A police constable was gunned down in Chappri (Mianwali) police area on Thursday. According to police sources, on a tip-off cop Muhammad Ali of Chappri police raided a locality to arrest some drug pushers where unidentified accused shot him dead. Police have registered a case.
DRTA challans 27 drivers: District Regional Transport Authority (DRTA) Thursday challaned 27 drivers and impounded seven vehicles over violation of traffic rules and incomplete documents. DRTA secretary Farooq Aziz told reporters that vehicles were checked and seven were impounded and Rs 7,500 fine was imposed on 27 drivers.
2.5kg hashish recovered: Sargodha police Thursday arrested seventeen accused and recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession. Police of different stations arrested 17 accused and recovered 2.515 kilograms hashish, 10 litre liquor, three pistols, two rifles, three shoguns and 1 Kalashnikov from them.
