7,000 litre adulterated milk seized

OKARA: The Health Department with police sized 7,000 litre adulterated milk at Pul Soba Ram on Okara-Depalpur Road on Sunday.
On a tip-off, Depalpur Assistant Commissioner Imtiaz Khichi and Health District Officer Dr Shabbir Chishti with police intercepted two vans and seized adulterated milk. The milk was adulterated with unhealthy ingredients, including urea, formalin, detergent and ammonia. Later, the milk was discarded. Police have registered a case.
Meanwhile, Gogera police raided Van Lakha village and nabbed two milkmen Ahmad and Javed while Manzoor and Muhammad Hussain managed to escape. Police also recovered 320kg adulterated Khoya. A case has been registered.
