Farhan not competing at DG Rangers Squash
KARACHI: Seasoned squash player Farhan Mehboob is not playing the $10,000 13th D G Rangers Sindh Squash Championship to be held Karachi from December 20-24.
According to the entry list of the event, Tayyab Aslam is the top seed and Asim Khan is second seed, while Ammad Fareed is third seed. Farhan Zaman is fourth seed, Israr Ahmed fifth, Zahir Shah sixth, Danish Atlas seventh, and M Bilal from Italy eighth.
The next eight seeds are Darosham Khan from Canada, Naveed Rehman [U19], Waqas Mehboob, M Farhan, Owais Rasheed, Saad Abdullah, Abdul Qadir, and Bilal Zakir. The unseeded players are: Farhan Hashmi [U19], Ibrahim Noorani, Haseeb Taj, Waqar Mehboob, and Salman Saleem.
Abbas Shoukat is the PSA Invitee while Faizan Khan and Rafi Khan [U19] have been given wildcards by the organisers. The draw is of 24 places, including two wildcards. According to the draw, all eight seeds have got byes in the first round of this championship that is open for Pakistan nationals only.
