Two convicted in separate cases in Chitral
CHITRAL: A local court convicted two accused separately here on Thursday, court papers said.
They said that one Sanaullah was arrested on the charges of abusing a minor boy and making its video. Hearing the arguments of the counsels for both the parties, the District and Sessions Judge Chitral, Javedur Rehman, convicted the accused under the Pakistan Penal Code 292, sentencing him seven years imprisonment.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs2 million on him. The papers said that the charges of molestation could not be proved but the accused was convicted for making a video of the minor boy. In another case, the same court awarded life-imprisonment to an Afghan national, Abdur Razzaq, for carrying six kilograms of hashish and as many quantity of heroin.
His other accomplices, Abdul Aziz, Sher Nawaz and Abdul Jalil were acquitted due to insufficient evidence produced in the court. His other accomplices including Abdul Halim, Suleman, Mehrabuddin and Noorullah were declared proclaimed offenders as they were still at large.
