KARACHI: Pakistan’s Umair Arif moved into the quarter-finals at 13th KL Junior Open Squash Championships in Malaysia on Thursday.
In the fourth round of under-11 category, Umair defeated Ethan Ming-Rui Kuan of Singapore 11-8, 11-2, 11-3.
He will play against Khailash Ravi Kumar of Malaysia in the last-eight stage.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Arshad Iqbal Burki lost in the first round of $12,000 Securian Squash Open in Minnesota, US, on Thursday. Fifth seed Juan Camilo Vargas of Columbia defeated Arshad 6-11, 3-11, 2-11 in 20 minutes.
