Protection of special persons’ rights joint duty: CM Usman Buzdar

LAHORE:Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that protection of rights of special persons is a collective responsibility adding that every segment of the society should play its role in this regard.

In his message, the chief minister said that special persons are also filled with the passion of serving the nation and they have proved their mettle in every field by exhibiting their abilities and talents. They can be made a useful organ of society through the provision of best possible facilities of education and training. The Punjab government has provided 14 new buses for the education of special children with an amount of Rs90 million. Four new special education centres have been established while eight others have been upgraded, he added. He said that standard of education and training facilities in special education centres was improved and implementation of job quota for special persons was also being ensured. Provision of equal opportunities to the special persons shows a healthy side of society and purpose of celebrating this day is to create awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities, the chief minister concluded.
