SHO suspended for registering report against PML-N MPA

OKARA: The DPO on Wednesday night suspended Depalpur City SHO Inspector Zulfiqar Warya for registering a report against PML-N MPA Malik Ali Abbas Khokhar in the daily diary register (Roznamacha).
The SHO had registered a report No-11 dated 14-08-15 which reads that “I had arrived at the police station after performing duty at the Depalpur TMA Hall on the Independence Day. I witnessed MPA Malik Ali Abbas arrived in the ceremony along with Rana Irfan Munir alias Rana Ali of Depalpur who is nominated in a case No 333/15 dated 30-04-15 under sections 395, 379, 337V, 337A1, 337L2, 337F1 at Depalpur City police station. The accused, whose bail had been cancelled by the Lahore High Court, was sitting on the front seat in a vehicle with the MPA. The MPA extended unjustified shelter to the accused. The MPA also delivered speech against police and used unbecoming words against him. The MPA also said that he was the area MPA and he would not let any accused to be arrested against his will.”
When MPA Malik Ali Abbas Khokhar came to know about the police report, he gave an application to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. It is learnt that MNA Hamza Shahbaz, on the direction of the chief minister, called MPA Malik Abbas and DPO Faisal Rana in his Lahore office on Wednesday where they gave their point of view.
