Six players selected for wheelchair tennis coaching camp
KARACHI: Six players have been selected for the 4th SSB wheelchair tennis coaching camp which commenced here at the Union Club on Sunday.
Mohammad Irfan, Ayub Khan, Fida Hussain, Mohammad Amjad, Mohammad Shahbaz and Mohammad Ali have been selected in the first stage for this camp, while more players will be added in the next 15 days.
On the occasion, vice-president Pakistan Tennis Federation (for wheelchair) Khalid Rehmani announced that the selected players will be given competition opportunities in one provincial and two national tournaments during their coaching at the camp.
“Our next target is to take two best wheelchair players to international competition in the region during the first half of 2020,” said Khalid.
The camp was sponsored by Sindh Sports Board (SSB), while technical support was provided by Para Sports Pakistan.
