Institutions including judiciary must work within their domain: Bilawal
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Wednesday said every institution including the Parliament, judiciary and armed forces should work within their domain.
“The PPP is striving for rule of law and Constitution in the country,” Bilawal said while talking to a delegation of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) led by newly-elected president Syed Kalbe Hassan along with Ahsan Bhon and Abid Saqi.
The PPP chairman asked the bar councils to play their role for human rights and rule of law and Constitution in the country because this is the only way to deal with the problems faced by the people.
The SCBA thanked the chairman for his party's support in recently held elections.
In a separate meeting with removed local government representatives from Lahore, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan and Rawalpindi, Bilawal said local bodies were dissolved by undemocratic means.
He said that local bodies governments in Hyderabad and Karachi are by the anti-PPP parties, but the PPP government in Sindh has not interfered with them.
“Imran Khan is a selected and weak prime minister who does not tolerate political opposition,” he alleged.
PPP leaders Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Chaudhry Manzoor were also present.
