Nation needs General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s services: Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain
ISLAMABAD: President Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa is capable General whom the nation needs.
In a talk with a group of journalist here on Wednesday, when asked about his opinion on a matter came up before the nation through which army and judiciary was being targeted, Shujaat Hussain said the appointment of the COAS was being made under a procedural system and its legal aspects were being argued before the Supreme Court of Pakistan but the nation was shocked to see that Indian media targeting the government of Pakistan, Army and judiciary on the basis of this issue which is internal issue of Pakistan. “It was our internal issue and India or any other country should not have any right to interfere in our internal affairs,” he said.
The former PM said the whole nation stands proudly with the armed forces of the country and appreciated their services and sacrifices rendered in defence of the country for bringing peace in the country and making Pakistan defence strong.
Shujaat Hussain said India should keep in its mind that if they underestimate Pakistan’s defence then it should be ready to face the serious consequences. He said the COAS with his leadership qualities not only foiled all the conspiracies against Pakistan but also gave moral support to people of Kashmir for their home grown freedom struggle.
Shujaat said the whole nation believes that General Qamar Javed Bajwa eliminated the terrorism and the terrorist activities from the country which created sense of protection among the people of Pakistan. “The international community has also appreciated the role of Pakistan against terrorism and now playing a vital role for peace in the country,” he said.
Shujaat Hussain said the PML-Q fully supports the decision of Prime Minister Imran Khan to give extension to Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, who is a capable and competent General whom the country needs.
