Seminar on diabetes held in Peshawar
A seminar titled “Juvenile Diabetes Care and Families” was jointly organised by Khyber Medical University (KMU) and AIMS Foundation at Sugar Hospital, Hayatabad.
Dr Syed Farooq Jameel, special secretary health KP, was the chief guest and KMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Arshad Javaid attended the event as the guest of honour, whereas President AIMS Pakistan Sugar Hospital Dr Ziaul Hasan, Pro-VC KMU Prof Dr Ziaul Haq and paediatrician Prof Dr Nadeem Khawar were among the guest speakers. The event was also represented by children and staff members of Hayatabad Model School, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) School, Peshawar, International School of Cordoba, City School Hayatabad, Roots Millennium, and Institute of Learning and Motivation (ILM), Hayatabad. The theme and objective of the event was awareness about Juvenile Diabetes Care & Families.
Dr Syed Farooq Jameel appreciated the services of AIMS & Sugar Hospital, and praised the young representatives of the schools and assured support and cooperation of KP health department in the noble cause being carried out by the Sugar Hospital.
He assured all possible support to the administration of sugar hospital in their plans and hoped that these activities would also be extended to schools and colleges for large-scale awareness among the upcoming generations.
