10-year-old girl murdered after rape in Jhang

JHANG: A 10-year-old girl was murdered after rape here. Labourer Zafar of Sufi Mor told the police that her daughter went to a seminary of the locality, but did not return. He said that when he and other family members started search of the girl, they found her dead. He claimed that her daughter was sexually assaulted and later killed by some unknown accused. The family members and neighbors of the deceased also staged a demonstration on Chiniot Road near Sufi Mor and demanded immediate arrest of the accused. Later, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to the DHQ Hospital for autopsy and assured that a case would be registered after postmortem.
