CHITRAL: The police arrested two proclaimed offenders belonging to Upper Dir district here on Monday.
In a press release, District Police Officer (DPO) Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat stated that the police launched another round of search and strike operation in the district and arrested two hardened proclaimed offenders, Muhammad Iqbal and Syed Rafique, belonging to Sheringal area in Upper Dir district.
He said that both the outlaws were wanted by the police in cases of heinous nature including murder, attempted murder and terror activities. They had been hiding in Drosh area after committing crimes in their home town, he added.
He said that the police also arrested seven drug-peddlers in raids in the district.
The DPO added that the cops of the Traffic Police Department booked 14 persons for rash driving in the district.
