Ashar, Zain, Ahmed in U-14 Super Series Tennis semis

KARACHI: Ashar Mir, Zain Ehtisham, Ahmed Nael Qureshi and USA’s Ibrahim Yousaf moved into the semi-finals of the Rotary ATF Under-14 Super Series Tennis Championship here at the DA Creek Club on Tuesday.
In the quarter-finals, Ashar thrashed USA’s Nadir Mirza 6-1, 6-0 and Ibrahim hammered Yaha Luni 6-3, 6-4. Ahmad smashed wildcard Rayan Ahmed 6-0, 6-1, while Zain defeated Kashan Tariq 6-1, 6-0.
Meanwhile, wildcard Ibrahim Sajjad overpowered Syed Raahim 3-6, 6-4, 10-7 to take ninth position.
In the second round of under-13 event, Nael Mirza stunned top seed Ibrahim Noman 4-1, 4-0, while Ibrahim Sajjad defeated Nibras 4-0, 4-1.
