Four militant commanders surrender in Quetta

QUETTA: Four commanders belonging to a banned militant organisation surrendered in the presence of Home Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, here on Monday.
They handed over their weapons to the Home Minister and resolved not to fight against the state. The four militant commanders said that they got training in a camp in the Nimroz province of Afghanistan. “We were given training of fighting and operating weapons in a training camp in the Nimroz province of Afghanistan and we crossed the border from Afghanistan to Balochistan province,” they said.
They resolved that they would never fight against the state and would remain loyal and patriot to Pakistan. The home minister along with Home Secretary Capt (retd) Akbar Hussain Durrani said that anti-peace elements would not be allowed to continue their terrorist activities in Balochistan.
“We welcome those who surrender, however, we will not spare those who want to continue their anti-peace campaign,” he said. The home minister further said that security forces had besieged the enemies of the country who would be brought to justice. “The militants have to surrender or they will have to face stern action,” he said.
