Gril raped in Okara village

OKARA: A girl was raped at Rampur village on Sunday.

The girl was on her way when accused Akram caught her, dragged her into fields, and allegedly raped her. Basirpur police have registered a case.

Four injured in accident: Four passengers of a coaster were injured in a road accident on Shergarh Road on Sunday.

A coaster was carrying passengers when it suddenly overturned after hitting a buffalo. As a result, four passengers were injured.

ABDUCTION BID FOILED: An abduction bid was foiled here on Sunday. Seven-year-old daughter of Muhammad Jameel of Sirki Mohallah was on her way to her school in the morning when accused Nazim of Mohallah Samadpura allegedly tried to abduct her. On her hue and cry, people gathered and caught the accused. Later, the accused was handed over to the B-Division police. During investigation, the accused disclosed that he used to abduct minor girls to commit rape with them. The police have registered a case.

FOUR BOOTLEGGERS HELD: Police on Sunday arrested four bootleggers.

The police arrested Muhammad Ikram with 30 litres liquor, Muhammad Waheed with 22 litres liquor, Muhammad Irfan with 15 litres liquor and Muhammad Javed with 510 grams charas. He police have registered cases.

KILLER ARRESTED: Police on Sunday arrested an alleged killer who had murdered his wife at Basirpur Mohallah. The police arrested accused Amir who had fled after slaughtering his wife Humera over some issue.
