Army organises sports gala in Kohat
KOHAT: The Pakistan Army organised a sports gala at the newly-constructed polo and saddle club in the cantonment here on Sunday. Paragliding and polo competitions were also held.
General Officer Commanding 9th Division Kohat Major General Asad Nawaz Khan and former government Lt-Gen (r) Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, former world squash champion Qamar Zaman, young motivational speaker Hammad Safi and a large number of civil and military officers were present on the occasion.
Javelin throwing, horse riding and dog race competitions were also held at the sports gala. The youth and children also performed paragliding and zip line competitions. Horse dance and horse jumping were also shown at the event. Players from Kohat, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, and Punjab took part in the competitions.
