GUJRANWALA: A murder convict will be executed in the Central Jail here on August 19.
Amjad Ali, s/o Ali Akbar, had gunned down his friend Khalil Ahmed over a minor issue on July 5, 1998. Later, death sentence was awarded to him on January 23, 2001, by Additional Sessions Judge Malik Mukhtar Ahmed. His appeals have been rejected by the High Court, Supreme Court and the President. His black warrants were issued by the Kasur D&SJ and he would be hanged on Aug 19.
