MULTAN: Mumtazabad police have arrested five people in a sexual assault case.
The victim’s father Sajid lodged his complaint with Mumtazabad police stating that his 14-year-old son, a student of ninth class, was abducted and sexually assaulted. The complainant said that his son’s class fellows accused Tayyab and Islam allegedly abducted his son three months ago and took him to a deserted house where accused Ahtesham Sindhu, Ahmed Baloch and Niaz allegedly sodomised him while five other accused made video of it. The victim’s father told that the accused were blackmailing his family for the last three months and receiving heavy money for not uploading the video on internet. At this, the police raided and arrested five accused. Later, the police spokesman Zaheeruddin Babar said that the police had registered the case against eight accused identified as Ahtesham Sindhu, Ahmed Baloch, Arbaz, Shan, Jafar Ghauri, Juna, Mohsin and Irfan. He said that the family of the victim lodged the complaint after failing to compensate the demands of the accused persons. The police had arrested five accused while raids were being conducted to arrest the remaining accused persons, he added.
