FAISALABAD: The Wasa has installed a water plant on Sargodha Road to supply clean drinking water to the people on low rates
Talking to The News here, Wasa Managing Director Syed Zahid Aziz said that the Rs 8 million Japanese plant had been installed by the Chinese engineers. He said that the plant would supply 150 bottles of 19 litre purified drinking water in an hour. The water would bear the name of ‘Chenab Water’ and would be available at eight distribution points in the city.
The Wasa MD said that the water quality would be at par with the World Health Organisation (WHO) standard. He said that Wasa Vice-Chairman Mian Irfan Mannan would inaugurate the plant on August 14 while DCO Noorul Amin Mengal and the local legislators would also attend the ceremony.
