2 held with 660kg dead chickens meat

OKARA: Police on Tuesday arrested two people and recovered 660kg meat of dead chickens at Raja Town Akhtarabad on Tuesday.
On a tip-off, the police under the supervision of District Livestock Officer Dr Muhammad Ashraf raided a godown of chickens and recovered 660kg meat of dead chickens. The police arrested accused Nadeem and his employee Latif. However, main accused Bashir succeeded to escape. Sadar police have registered a case.
APPLICATIONS SCRUTINISED: The police department have scrutinised 4,651 applications, including 180 of women, for 56 vacancies of constables.
Special Branch DIG Zaeem Sheikh would head a three-member Merit Recruitment Committee while Okara DPO Faisal Rana and Sahiwal SP Investigation Rauf Zafar Bokhari would be its members. The MRC would supervise the whole recruitment process.
