Interest-free loans for 8,000

Tevta Board has unanimously approved of providing Rs 500 million through self-employment scheme to the Akhuwat to disburse the amount among 8,000 Tevta passed-outs.
A Tevta spokesperson said Tevta passedouts would be given interest free loan from Rs 50,000 to Rs 100,000 in selected districts during the current financial year and after a successful launch of this scheme, it would also be introduced to other cities across the province of the Punjab. The decision was taken at Tevta Board meeting chaired by Tevta Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Shaikh and attended by board members Syed Yawar Ali, Ch Hamid Malhi, Rehmat Ullah Javed, Muhammad Ismail Khurram, Ayub Sabir Izhar, Nilopher Sikandar, Executive Director Akhuwat Dr Amjad Saqib, Chief Credit Officer Akhuwat Shahzad Akram, Chief Operating Officer Tevta Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and Tevta officers. Irfan Qaiser Shaikh said the main focus of Tevta was to provide financial help to those students who intended to start their own business.
