OKARA: A personnel of a sensitive agency was shot dead by five highwaymen on resistance on Malgadah Road at Chak 19/4-L on Saturday night.
Mehmoodul Hassan was on way to join his duty when the highwaymen intercepted his cycle and tried to rob him of cash and valuables, but he resisted. It infuriated the highwaymen and they shot him dead. Police have registered a case under Sections 302, 148, 149 and 395 of the PPC. Meanwhile, the DPO said that police had arrested two out of the five highwaymen from a farmhouse near Chak 27/4-L.
