Shahbaz promises judicial inquiry into Kasur incident
Directs home department to immediately request LHC chief justice to form an inquiry commission

CHIEF Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Punjab government will hold judicial inquiry into the Kasur incident.
He directed that Punjab Home Department should immediately request the Lahore High Court Chief Justice to constitute an inquiry commission at the level of District and Sessions Judge for this purpose. According to a handout issued here Sunday, the chief minister said that stern punishment would be awarded to the culprits involved in the incident and they would not be able to escape their logical end. He said that justice would be provided to the affected families at any cost.
Meanwhile, a meeting was held here Sunday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in which an inquiry report was presented to him regarding the Kasur incident. The chief minister said the incident was highly condemnable and the elements involved deserved maximum punishment. He ordered immediate arrest of the remaining accused involved in the incident.
Ahsan: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Matters of mutual interest and China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project besides important issues were discussed in the meeting. Talking on the occasion, the chief minister said the destiny of the country would change with CPEC project which would benefit the whole country. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif all crises including energy shortage would be resolved. Ahsan Iqbal said that the role of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif regarding CPEC project was highly
commendable.
Saad: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here Sunday. Matters of mutual interest and country situation were discussed during the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said the whole nation was united to curb extremism, terrorism and sectarianism.
He said that terrorists had no religion and they were enemies of Pakistan and its people. He said nefarious designs of terrorists would be thwarted with the force of unity. He said the brave armed forces of Pakistan were writing a new history of sacrifices in the war on terror and achieving glorious successes in operation Zarb-e-Azb. He said that terrorists and their facilitators would be eliminated from the country.
