From Our Correspondent
FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf local leader and ex-MPA Dr Asad Muazzam Tuesday said the party would compete the PML-N and other parties in the local bodies polls and would sweep the LB polls.
Talking to reporters, Dr Asad said a number of committees have been constituted for mass contact campaign at grass root level for the LB polls in 157 union councils of the City Municipal Corporation.
Former MPA said the PTI is utilizing the information technology for its LB polls campaign and candidates’ performance would also be monitored through the central office.
He maintained that various bodies have also been constituted to collect information regarding the misuse of the government machinery and other resources by the PML-N-backed candidates.
Dr Asad said the PTI would impart training and education to its polling agents and organisers to check the PML-N-backed candidates’ malpractices.
He said selection of the PTI candidates for every union council will be completed by the August 30th.
