PESHAWAR: A newly elected general councillor of Hangu district, Zubair Khan Zargari, has asked the authorities to take notice of the increasing hepatitis patients in the area and provide clean drinking water to the residents. Speaking at a news conference on Monday, he said that due to scant health facilities, people of Hangu had to take their patients to the far-flung areas for treatment. He said majority of the patients usually lost their lives on way to health facilities. “Same is the case with education,” he said, adding that most of the people couldn’t receive education as there are no schools and colleges in the area. The councilor said the increasing unemployment rate had added to the miseries of locals.
