Four of a family recovered from illegal police confinement

GUJRANWALA: On the orders of Additional Sessions Judge Liaqat Ali Ranjha, court bailiff Iqbal Virk recovered four members of a family from the illegal confinement of Ferozewala police.
The bailiff raided the police station and recovered Ahmad Din, his brother Sultan Ahmad and nephews Ashraf and Ashfaq from there, who were kept in illegal detention. The bailiff produced them before the judge, who released. The judge ordered the CPO to proceed against the accused policemen. Earlier, Jawad of Mandiala Teg village, in a petition, alleged that police had illegally arrested his father Ahmad Din and three relatives and detained them in the police station.
MURDER CASE OF MPA: The murder case of MPA Rana Shamshad and his son came up for hearing before Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Imtiaz Chaudhry here on Friday.
Kamoke police produced three accused before the judge, who extended their judicial remand. The judge ordered police to file complete challan of the case on August 7 and adjourned the hearing.
